What was built
I rebuilt Jonathan Orenstein’s website around his photography. It opens on a full-screen photograph, with two others a visitor can switch to, and a row of covers below leads into his eight collections, including Executive Portraits, Live Events and Essequibo, Guyana.
Each collection keeps the photographs in the same order as on his previous site and lays them out without cropping, so tall and wide photographs keep their shape. Tapping or clicking one opens it full screen; visitors can step through the collection from there, and closing the viewer returns them to the photograph they started from. Every collection has its own link, so it can be shared directly.
I brought all 291 photographs over from his previous site. The home page loads the first opening photograph straight away and the other two only when a visitor selects them. Old links to his galleries and contact page still lead to the right place.
